Bare legs and feet  , open necked shirt , red or brown woollen cap and tattoos on his arms and legs this was the man who sold fish , a fishmonger , pisciavinnilo .This man sold fish on the streets or at the market some of which had their own stall where they displayed their fish now and again throwing water over them from a bucket filled with seawater (mummara) .
